PIERS currently allows only 3 searches for a specific record within a 30-minute period.
How to get a child’s PA vaccine record
A parent or legal guardian can access the eligible dependent’s PIERS record when the child’s demographic information and parent/guardian contact information match the registry.
The normal dependent portal route no longer applies. The adult should access their own record unless an adult legal-guardian authorization applies.

Pennsylvania currently says ordinary online requests usually take 7–10 business days. Certain adult legal-guardian and elderly-parent release situations are described by PIERS as requiring a minimum of 10 business days.
Why are Philadelphia vaccines missing from PIERS?
Vaccinations administered in Philadelphia are reported to the city’s PhilaVax system rather than statewide PIERS. Use the Philadelphia record request when city-administered vaccines matter.
Why does PIERS show a red past Date Next Due?
PIERS says this can happen when earlier immunizations were not reported to the registry. A red date does not by itself prove that you need another vaccine.
Can I use a PIERS record for Pennsylvania school enrollment?
PIERS can document reported vaccine dates, but the school determines whether current Pennsylvania attendance requirements are met. Submit the record to the school nurse and ask what additional documentation is needed.
